| my son can't stop saying .. "Uh oh.. " over everything.. he didn't even do anything bad.. he'll just say it. We're playing with his toys.. and he just says.. "Uh oh.." we are running around the apartment.. and he's going.. "uh oh."
Marchesa was the one that taught him that word.. and now he thinks he's the smartest little baby with his short stack of words.. even jeopardy isn't the same.. Every answer is "Uh oh." what's going on? =) When watching sports highlights.. a race car smashes into another.. "uh oh."
this silly little baby boy turns 16 months this thursday.
Just a pic of my boy at the toys r us in NYC.

| Its very early in the morning right now. I just thought I would post something here to let everyone know. Today is Stephanie and my 1000th day of marriage. We're going to try to celebrate by going into the city with the baby and spending some family time in NYC.
So if you see two love birds with a very chatty little baby boy walking about downtown NYC.. it will be us. I love you Stephanie.. thank you for 1000 days of me being the luckiest and happiest person.
side note.. I would have posted this earlier.. or at least gone to bed earlier.. but I have a new toy.. its not done yet.. but soon.. =)

| I do not know where to start.. I don't know where to start... and did i mention.. i don't know where to start.
Today.. is my baby boy's first birthday.. he turns 1.. and lets just say he is an adorable 1 year old .. toddler. that is going to take some time to getting used to.. he's been a baby all his life.. and a toddler for onlty a few moments.
I must admit.. working on his bday.. is not going to be a good thing.. hopefully i can get some time to spend with him.. and wrestle him.. he's getting pretty strong now.
some baby tricks that he has mastered now are.. Standing.. dancing on his bum.. smiling at daddy.. turn the tv on and off faster than anyone in the world.. turning the volume up very loud on the stereo.. and then covering his tracks when the music is deafening loud.. he always has a "not me" look on his face. he also knows how to get the entire bathroom splashed with water and still remain dirty.. he also plays the piano.. his favourite song being one of his own compositions.. its called "I love my mom and dad... and they love me."
so in the AM.. when my son wakes up.. we'll be singing happy birthday to him and be giving him his presents.

| Its been a long time since I last updated.. so what are some of the developments? well.. my son is much bigger than before.. and is very very curious. over the past few months, he has mastered a few typical baby skills and a few not-so baby skills. Some baby milestones include being able to turn over, blowing raspberries, eating his rice cereal.. he even recently started to sit without assistance. The not so baby milestones that he seem to like doing is driving his toy car console.. and giggling whenever the police voice says "pull over buddy."
Also.. he has been asking very unusual questions.. like.."Daddy.. why is teddy bear spelt with a p?" and I am like "wonkawha?" he's going to need to practice his spelling.
We were watching Jeopardy one day.. and he surprised me.. he didn't do the usual.. "what is photosynthesis." or "what is the taming of the shrew?" like you see in the silly Teen Tournament.. but he was really impressing me .. during the show.. he was like.. "who is Atahualpa?" and I was like who?? and he said.. "the Incan emperor that was overthrown by Spanish conquistador Franciso Pizzaro." I was like "Pizza??" i cannot believe my son was teaching me history... and doing it smuggly.. i was going to ground him for being a smart mouth.. when the daily double came and he said "who is snufflelufflegus?" and the answer was wooly mammoth.. i knew that my son still had stuff to learn.. so he was embarassed and resumed to play with his toy piano.
he ended yesterday's play time saying.. "Over there is a big ol' alligator.. and when he opened his mouth.. he didn't have a face.. he just had tonsils. And over there is a reindeer with a rocking chair on his head... and over there is a billy goat.. with handle bars on his head."
he is one very interesting and imaginative little boy.

| - Please don't go girlToday I decided to work from home.. and I got to see my son in his daily routine. How he sleeps, babbles, plays.. you name it.
However, today it was something special... when my wife went out to go shopping.. I had some special father/son time.. time that I really cherish .. because my boy is growing up so fast and i absolutely adore just spending time with him.
One thing I will not do is spoil him by always carrying him.. I really don't want to get my son used to the feeling that when he cries.. that we need to run to him and carry him.. so I allowed him to lie down on his play mat.. where he plays with his friends.. his mobile friends, Mr. Lion, Mr. Snake, and Mr. Horse.. my son tells me that he doesn't have any girlfriends yet.. since he thinks they're yucky.
After my son gets tired of playing with his toys, he tends to get a bit grumpy and wants to do something new.. I recently installed a computer connection to our television, and loaded a few videos onto it. We watched the 2004 World Rally Championship in Finland and Germany.. He definitely loves the sound of the revving engine.
The video soon finished after about hour, and my son wanted to be entertained.. It was time for him to sleep.. so he spent some time swinging on his papasan... he didn't sleep.. and got very angry.. because he hates being harnessed into the swing... nothing would calm him.. and then I remembered that my mom used to sing to me to make me feel better.. but what songs would I sing??
Song choices.. what song do I know the lyrics too? I decided to sing a few oldie tunes.. but they were not calming enough.. so I decided to break out the big guns.. and I only will do this for my son .. I decided to sing the best tunes ever.. New Kids on the Block... I had to do the dance moves and everything.. just to keep my son happy.. let me tell you.. he definitely likes those New Kids!
soon after his mini New Kids concert.. performed by dad.. he fell asleep. I am sure he is hoping he can learn those dance moves. I am sure I will teach him once he is older. =)
